Abhijith Radhakrishnan joined the department in 2022. He has been teaching English language, literature, and film studies since 2018, teaching classes at the UG/PG level at various private and government-aided institutions in Kerala. He is a bestselling author (title from Amazon India) of three works of fiction and an editor of three literary collections. He was shortlisted for the Prime Minister’s YUVA Scheme (2022) and was an official invitee from Kerala to the Conference of YUVA Authors organized by the National Book Trust (at the World Book Fair, New Delhi) in 2023.
He has also translated Franz Kafka’s select short stories (pub: Pencil Books) and Ernest Hemingway’s The Snows of Kilimanjaro (pub: Bodhi Centre for Literary Studies) into Malayalam. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English language and literature from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kerala, and has also cleared UGC-NET.
He has completed diplomas and short-term courses offered by premier national and foreign institutions. His research interest principally lies in Film Studies and his research articles have appeared in national and international journals. He has been the plenary speaker and resource person for several workshops, seminars, and conferences.
